Rezido had finally caught up to Griffies back in the forest, he told the other dragon that when he was done he would be waiting outside of the Garegon Caves, hoping that the other had heard of it. The Sea Dragon sighed. It was days like this he wished he had more minions to take care of things like this. Rezido wasn't a minion, he was a right hand man...right? He confirmed it in his head, he had known Defyre since the beginning, they had both ruled over lands, and their mothers were both crazy (though Rezido's mother had died a few hundred years back, rest her soul). The sun was setting in the sky and the dragon watched as others moved about the cave, none daring to look him in the eye. He allowed a smile to grace his lips, he enjoyed the fear, it made him feel...important.

Griffes felt pleased, more than pleased despite the fact that he had lost his prey. He felt pleased because the dragon knew that he would not be able to survive the next time he encountered Griffes and that next time, he may just have someone else rip that golden pile of rubble's wings off. Now as he moved swiftly, Garegon Cave towering above him, he felt hostility. Not jut toward others, but from others as well. Hostility, and curiousity. Perhaps he was not the most well-known rogue let alone dragon about, but he considered himself among one of the ones that were most dangerous and as he met the stares of others and held their gaze with his own venomous one, he could feel and see them shrink away as he showed more than some that he was not afraid of any dragon, not mortal, not immortal.
His gaze then darted around the entrance of the cave, catching sight of the infamous sea green dragon who struck fear in many hearts without even speaking. He moved towards the dragon, not showing any sign of fear nor respect. "Alright. Where is he?" he asked, his voice a low growl that despite it being low, echoed off the looming walls of the cave.

(OOC: Sorry about the short post, I was going to do a longer one but the computer at my Dad's house was being stupid, then when I came home I forgot to edit it.)
BIC: Rezido looked at the dragon who had dared to approach him in such a way. His snout held the snarl it was known for, till he saw that it was, in fact, Griffies. "My, my." he said loud enough for the few dragons nearby to hear him. "It seems you haven't got much patience Griffies." The sarcasm i;n his voice was nearly over the top, even if this was the dragon he had chosen to be interviewed by Defyre it gave the other no right whatsoever to disrespect him. He had worked too hard to get to his position of power. "You shall wait patiently here while I go retrieve Lord Defyre, hopefully you will acknowledge him with more...class." The sea dragon turned so quickly that the small mane of blue growing down his back was windswept.
Approaching Defyre's chamber's he knocked on the door. "Defyre?" He called out, hoping the usually foul-mood-ed Dragon would be in.

Ooc: Its alright, mine was short as well XD, and I love that last piece of your post, XDD.
Bic:
Griffes snorted just as Rezido turned his back on him and departed to retrieve the supposed "Lord" Defyre. He could feel one or two pairs of eyes lingering on him, studying him and wondering what his purpose was at the cave. If Defyre was anything like Rezido, then all he had to do was shut out the sound of his voice and pretend he was listening. Perhaps he could even get the dolt to get rid of the darkness and find some other way to ruin everyone's lives. The very thought of that made him roll his eyes. That would probably take a lot of persuasion, if that is what one would call it. Defyre was known to be hungry for power, so if Griffes found something to offer him, that would be more of a trade.
Blackness, nothing but pitch black darkness. And noises! So many noises! Defyre could feel the immobility, he could barely move his body and he felt weak. Weak and blind but he could hear odd noises that sounded like they were out of water and he was under the water. Was he in water even? He tried to move himself once more, succeeding in nothing but a slight budge. He could feel the anger building inside of him as he once more attempted to move. The only comforting thing was the darkness itself. It provided him with something to hide in, hide away from everything. As he let the anger inside him simmer, he embraced the darkness despite being unable to move. The darkness would help him to-what was that? Defyre listened to the noises willing himself to focus and try and remember what the the louder noise was. He shifted his head, moving it with a newly found strength so he wouldn't miss the noise again and then heard a newer noise. A cracking sound and as he pushed his head up more he could see a brilliant light shining through his eyelids and then the noise from before seemed to fill his ears and his head. "Defyre..."
The Lord of Darkness forced himself to come to, his eyes flickering open as he leaned again one of the rune-inscribed walls. As the somewhat memory came back to him, he jerked his head up, glancing about. At first he felt himself engulfed in that same darkness as from his now fading memory and then he removed it, vaguely recalling that he had to rest for the night's plans. Then he recalled once more the loud noise and let out a dissatisfied grunt, rising to his claws, his gaze focusing on the dark chamber door which he had used to conceal himself from any curious eyes. He let the darkness wash over him except this time he himself was the darkness and in mere moments he slipped under the door. As he materialized behind whoever had called him, the darkness faded away and he let out a low growl. "What do you seek, Rezido?" he asked, his voice edged with annoyance as he gazed at his ally.

OOC: *Cracks knuckles* Let the epicness begin.
Red eyes cut across at the black dragon. "Hmph." Salzaar had been watching the rogue since he'd come into Garegon. "That'll be 400 gold." The clerk behind the stand told him, he handed the man what was probably stolen gold (knowing the thief it was, no "probably" to it) Cracking his neck the cocky dragon decided to talk to the new comer. "Hey, Ebony." His voice was like silk, no impurities to it, his face matched. "What's a guy like you doing with Rezido Kantra, huh? You realize he'd Defyre's lackey?" The golden scales shimmered in the light as he closed in on the new dragon. "So what, you the new muscle or something?" Salzaar threw his hands up. "No disrespect, that is."
His red eyes took in the others form. It was true, ever part of the other was covered in muscles, unlike Salzaar, who wasn't unmuscular, but not nearly as defined as this one. "The name is Salzaar, because you had to be wondering, am I right?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
(Okay, so Salzaar is very cocky, and arrogant, if you didn't catch that, and I always thought of him having an Italian accent)
Rezido stared into Defyre's eyes unafraid. "Of course, Milord, I wouldn't dream of interrupting you otherwise." The salty dragon took a breathe, disregarding the extreme force of a diluting darkness around them. "There is...someone I would like you to me," He paused. "he is quite strong, one of the strongest I've seen, and bloodthirsty. Cannibalistic really. I think if you and I tamed him, he would be a great asset. "
The darkness that was engulfing the room was becoming uncomfortable, as if Defyre had been conguring it from the pits of hell. "Defyre, what's been going on in here?" He asked looking around, he could see the receding blackness. "Are you alright?" At one point in time they had been equals, they had been friends, it was only Rezido's nature to ask.

Griffes would have continued his thoughts but had to put them aside as he heard the clicking of claws as someone approached him. Upon first glance, the dragon already felt annoyed and already disliked the dragon. Who was he to talk to Griffes as if he were lowly and pathetic?
Now he had room to talk and he already prepared his on-coming words. "As a matter of fact, no I wasn't wondering. I don't care what your name is, I don't care where your from, why your here, why your even talking to me," he began his words laced with annoyance. "And only an ignorant fool would not be able to realize Rezido's with Defyre let alone below him. And as far as I can see, your barely one step above an ignorant fool. As far as I'm concerned at this point, you would do more good with your intestines spilled out and ready to be feasted on. If there were something else you would be good for, I wouldn't even bother to know because picking up eggshells is just one of those things no one needs to bother to know," he finished, watching and waiting, his gaze fixed on the brilliantly scaled dragon.
"Quite alright," Defyre answered flatly. "Merely...remembering, if you will," he added before changing the subject, letting the darkness about his chamber slowly fade away. "Cannibalistic, hmm? Indeed, taming and manipulation. I might like to meet him and once we are finished there, I should like to return to my studies," he said thoughtfully. "Shall we go?" he asked not wanting to be questioned about exactly what his "studies" were at this point as he often switched from one thing to another when it came to studying.

Salzaar raised an eyebrow. "So testy." He said, immediately he knew he liked this dragon, he was fierce. "No need to threaten me, just showing some friendly incentive. Ever heard of it? The opposite is what I'm getting: malice, I think it's called." The dragon laughed audibly at his own joke. "And if you ain't here to be Defyre's new muscle, then you must be something special to be getting a meeting with him." Salzaar noticed that the black dragon didn't have any wings either, he merely thought that the other had tucked them in.
"So, if I could, and I'll ignore those nasty comments, where're you from? I can tell you're a rogue, much like myself believe it or not, but where was your original clan? You're pretty strong looking like those Treeforge dragons." The golden clad dragon examined his newest specimen from a safe distance, he knew not to disturb the incredibly large bubble that was around the other. "And you never did tell me your name, even with my nicety of giving my own."
Rezido merely nodded, he wanted to question Defyre further but he'd be stepping over his boundaries, and that's exactly how he received one of his scars. It was never wise to challenge the self-proclaimed ruler of Shadows. Rezido's eyes fell on Griffies, whom did not look to pleased to be talking with a golden dragon. "There he is now." He told Defyre pointing to the dark one. "The wingless one, and believe me, it does not hinder his ability." He added.

Griffes slowly arched a scaley eyebrow, still scowling as he listened to this golden fly. What was wrong with him? What did he need, a friend or something? Malice?
"Hilarious," Griffes grunted, sarcasm pure in his voice. "I'll treat you however I find necessary for you," he remarked before turning his attention to the questions asked. "And my clan is none of your needed business. They're off and gone and I am no longer associated with them...internally. As for Treeforge. I do not have to leap through trees since I hatch from an egg to be able to move with the grace of a flying snake," he hissed darkly. Treeforge. That was what had recently escaped his claws. Lucky for that one.
Defyre's gaze followed Rezido's claw, his black eyes fixing on the wingless dragon. "Is that so?" he said, standing there for a moment studying the dragon from afar. From the look of the cannibal's face, the other one was causing an issue. "Come then, Rezido. Let's go...see this new dragon," he said, spreading his wings and moving downwind towards the dragon with a quick glide. "Now, now," Defyre said glancing at Salzaar darkly before turning towards Griffes.
Griffes narrowed his eyes glancing at Defyre as he landed. Not surprisingly, he had to stare up at the black dragon, almost relieved of him coming to break up the conversation. However, Griffes did not bow as if the mere presence would make him cower. Instead, he merely fixed his gaze witht he dragon, expectantly.
"Rezido tells me you can't fly," Defyre began. He studied the dragon once more before continuing. "What can you do to make up for that, wingless one?"
The cannibalistic dragon snorted, rolling his eyes. "I have more qualities that make up for not being able to vanish in thin air or take flight immediately," he snarled, glancing up. The cave ceiling was high enough to prove his worth, that was for sure. Crouching down, he felt the muscles in his hind legs ripple as he pushed himself up, feeling the air rush down and the ceiling come closer in a short amount of time before he began going down. He angled himself to where he was able to point his snout downwards as if he'd land headfirst, dive-bombing the crew.

Salzaar was about to say something that may have gotten him killed, but here he was trying to make nice with this OBVIOUSLY lonely dragon and the big brute was shooting him down at every turn. He opened his mouth but was cut off: "Now, now", he heard the slightly familiar voice call to him and Griffies. "D-Defyre." Salzaar wasn't scared, contrary to his voice betraying him. Salzaar let his crimson hues roam over the fabled dragon. He was tall, well, more so than Salzaar himself, muscled, his dark eyes could cut pure diamond, and he seemed to draw the same power as darkness around himself.
Salzaar was now silent, he had walked in on a conversation he most likely had no business listening to, but that had never stopped him before. As his newest associate took to the air he could only watch with amusement; he had been right to talk to someone this extraordinary. The other had turned completely in the air now, and was dive bombing downward. His eyes never left this spectacle of a creature. 'Exactly where do you come from?' he asked himself silently.
Rezido on the other hand had seen this feat before, so it didn't nearly surprise him as much as the others. "Griffies, he is a rogue." He said simply to Defyre. "He was amidst battle when I found him, the other didn't stand a chance and flew away, but that Dragon caught up to him in a matter of seconds." Rezido was proud of himself, something he didn't normally allow, but in a time of war and recruitment normalcy was no longer accepted.
'Griffies? What kind of name was that for a dragon?' What was even more ironic about it was the stem could have been taken from gryffin. All Salzaar could do was wait for the other to come down, he felt he might want to keep a dragon like this around, especially if he planned to surpass the two immortals standing before him; a smile crossed his lips ever so slightly, and he chuckled to himself.

Defyre watched the little trick as the dragon shot upwards. It was obvious no winged dragon could normally jump that high nor could a wingless dragon. So this was indeed something that could prove useful. Though, it was just "one" feat. If that was all the dragon could do then that was a bad seed that would be burned in battle with ease. He arched a scaley eyebrow as the dragon suddenly changed his direction to fact down towards them. Show. That was all it was right now. It was easy to see as the dragon moved with at a quicker speed. One that could injure a precious dragon if they didn't spread their wings to move in a different direction or slow down their descent. This one though, did not.
Easy. Easy enough to catch their eye, easy enough to lose it if he did one thing wrong. Everything was going according to a scrounged up plan and now as the wind rushed past him, the ground coming oh so closer, Griffes stretched his fore-legs forward, claws pressed together as if he were attempting to mimic the paws of a furred beast. He would root himself upon the first step. It wasn't simple and it would seem more like the trickery of magic, something not seen often by others but it was only the magic of the scars he bore. Only the magic of the past that always travelled with him, always gave him strength. Always.Suddenly the ground was upon him and he felt the force as he coiled up but for a split second, crouching low to the ground as he let his hind legs reach for the ground, taking a quick step forward before sinking his claws into the ground, recovering quickly from such a thing as he immediately whipped his head in the direction of Defyre, his gaze flickering between the two immortals. He would be a pawn. That's all anyone was these days. Pawns. It was all a game until someone rose as the victor.
Defyre watched as the dragon quickly landed barely catching how he did so. Bone breaking? Heart exploding? The impact would have surely killed him. The simple introduction Rezido had given shortly before the dragon landed didn't seem fit for this one. It was too highly. "You're a rogue. You fight. I suppose you have a matter of pride in what you do," Defyre stated bitterly, his black eyes boring into this bold dragon.
"Pride is given to fools who are easily offended. I fight. I am a rogue. And if you want to know about my past then you're bargaining for too much," Griffes growled, his gaze turning to focus on the arrogant runt from before as if he might also be one to ask that.
Defyre snorted. "I don't care about your past. I wouldn't care if you were a traitor of some ally. What matters now is that you're in league with us. What matters now is your loyalty to us. What matters now is that if you turn your back on us, I'll make sure I give you something to moan and groan about."
Threats. Threats for a future Griffes had no intentions on performing...yet. Good that he wouldn't pry into something that was none of his business. Fine, fine, loyalty, in league, it was all good. He didn't care. "And what are the rules to this little "alliance"?" he asked, his voice vicious, his gaze now fixed once more on Defyre.
The black dragon narrowed his eyes. "You'll learn within time what to do and what not to do," he snapped, now bringing this other dragon into existance. He glanced at Salzaar. "You," he began in a commanding tone before pausing, considering options, his gaze flickering to Griffes. "Griffes will be needing "company" on the assignments which will soon arise for him. And when he is given one, and you are told to assist him, you will do so. Should you choose not to, I will rip your wings off of you and trap you inside a prison beyond your worst nightmares with friends that will enjoy seeing your insides on the outside," he snarled baring sharp teeth. The brief flicker of annoyance that passed through Griffes's eyes was enough to give Defyre the satisfaction he sought.

Salzaar's red eyes widened, and then abruptly narrowed as he watched Griffes landing. He would not be swayed into being awed by such a profound move, by the fluidity of the wingless one. He couldn't help but to gasp to himself as he saw the leg muscles in Griffes convulge and tighten upon impact, saw the other's jaw barely tense as he landed upon the stone floor fully erect. No Salzaar wouldn't think of this other as amazing, only he, the great Golden Scaled one, could be such. No one could be compared to his beauty, not even with such grace as the way this other moved in the air. Salzaar may have had to kill him if he gained a more conventional way of flight, because surely Griffies would show him up in all aspects of the statement. He felt his eyes narrowing again at his final glance over Griffes, the new dragon who had already been placed in a league with the two immortals, whereas, he, himself had been trying to do so for several years, and he found no leverage.
Rezido's eyes cut to Salzaar. "Answer him." He said in a low voice, too deep in thought to really seem angry. The Golden Dragon had been staring at Griffes for a least a minute and a half since Defyre spoke. Rezido slowly sunk back into his own mind, he had delivered a promising new Dragon to Defyre who, with time, could be useful, but it also presented Defyre with another weapon. Rezido's seafoam eyes took in each of the dragons around him, each one scattering to different corners of Garegon, each one with his own agenda, but serving the Dark Lord's as well.
"I'll help anyway I can." Salzaar answered finally, he looked to Griffes and smiled. "Looks like we'll be friends after all Fi-fi." His smile turned a bit malignant.
Rezido looked to Defyre, he was a bit anxious because he had many questions he needed to asked the Dark Lord, one was what the man had been thinking about before he had entered his chambers, the other was what the next plan of attack on the realms around them were, it seemed like forever since they last plagued the innocences, enstilled any sort of fear or reminder that they were still around, still plotting, still going to be kings, Gods really, of everything around them. At least that is what Rezido hoped for, he knew that by the end of it Defyre would always be stronger then him, Rezido could bend the sea to his will, but Defyre bent the very fabric of darkness.
"My Lord." Rezido whispered hurriedly. "Once we are through here I would like to...have a talk with you." The words didn't sound to alarming to him, he wondered how they would be taken, if Defyre would even give him this. But why wouldn't he?

Wonderful. Now he was going to be stuck with an arrogrant worm who he had no intentions on spending his time with and getting to know. However, he had no intentions on "complaining" and ending up like Salzaar probably would. "Alright," he said darkly, his voice betraying him. However, he nodded once to Defyre.
The Dark Lord gazed steadily at the two before he glanced at Rezido. "Alright," he said before turning back toward them. "You two are dismissed. I'll be watching you," he hissed before turning towards Rezido. Just to make sure neither would go ahead and ask or follow, he brought a swirl of darkness around he and Rezido, rapidly twisting to bring the two back to his chamber of darkness. "Now. What do you wish to discuss?" he asked, turning around abruptly to look at the plans that were engraved all over the walls. This was one thing he had been engrossed in. Perfecting plans. The monster which had been created was nearly prepared to descend to the ground. Which meant he had to prepare his followers and Rezido to enter the new realm and seal the way through or risk being followed by whelps.
- - - -
Griffes watched the swirling darkness before turning towards Salzaar. "Don't intend on getting to close to me, shiney," he snarled before turning and heading deeper into Garegon cave. He hadn't explored it before. Now was his chance. Perhaps he could even get something to eat as well. He frowned, his mind switching to focus on Salzaar. He was an arrogant, greedy, fool. It was obvious. And he was annoying. How could he be used for any advantages except annoying any dragon to the point of them killing themselves? Besides, surely there were more dragons here that he could get to know. Ones that were less like Salzaar and more like himself. Dangerous.
